Many things can damage your hair, including excessive exposure to sunlight and chemicals, such as chlorine in swimming pools. The number one cause of hair damage, however, is using heated styling tools such as hairdryers and straighteners.
You cannot escape talk of the election anywhere these days, but nobody seems to ask the question that all hairdressers want answered – how much do MPs pay for their haircuts?
It has emerged that David Cameron pays £90 to have his hair styled and cut, which may seem extortionate in these days of apparent austerity. Lino Carbosiero is the Prime Minister’s stylist and also lists Kylie Minogue, Dustin Hoffman and Sir Paul McCartney amongst his clients. Perhaps he should keep quiet about that last one.
We are constantly being told that today’s employees suffer stress and depression brought on by their frustrating, dull jobs, where they have little responsibility or motivation. However, according to a City & Guilds report, the happiest people in employment are hairdressers.
